Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Jeddah seeks a Design Engineer (Electrical) responsible for design coordination and technical interface management for a high voltage substation project. The role involves liaising with consultants and clients, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables compliant with utility standards. Candidates should have strong knowledge of HV electrical design and proficiency in AutoCAD along with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical coordination point between the company and the approved design consultant.
• Select and identify the equipment PTS.
• Explanation and clarification of the drawings and design to clients.
• Prepare, review, and clarify the drawings for the electrical subcontractor.
• Manage and monitor electrical design progress to ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Review electrical design documents at the tendering and execution stages.
• Ensure designs comply with utility standards.
• Coordinate design reviews, comments, and responses between stakeholders.
• Track design comments, approvals, and revisions until final approval.
• Ensure design deliverables align with construction schedule.
• Assist during technical meetings with clients and consultants.
• Ensure proper document control and design version management.

Skills

Fluent communication skills in English

Strong knowledge of HV substation electrical design

Ability to coordinate with external design consultants
