Job summary

IC İçtaş Construction is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to lead traffic design and planning for a major Riyadh road project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves coordinating with engineers, consultants, and authorities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient infrastructure solutions.

The candidate should have 8+ years in traffic engineering, strong modeling capabilities, and fluency in English. Experience in the Middle East is highly preferred, with a focus on highway and urban road

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
8+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or highway infrastructure projects.
Strong experience in traffic impact assessments, junction analysis, road safety studies, and traffic management plans.
Knowledge of international standards and guidelines such as AASHTO, MUTCD, DMRB, and relevant local regulations.
Hands-on experience with traffic engineering software such as SIDRA, VISSIM, SYNCHRO, AutoTURN, Civil 3D, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and review traffic engineering designs, traffic management plans, and temporary traffic control schemes for highway and infrastructure projects.
Conduct traffic impact studies, traffic modeling, capacity analysis, and junction performance assessments.
Design and coordinate road signing, pavement markings, wayfinding systems, road safety devices, and traffic control measures.
Prepare and review traffic diversions, detour plans, work zone traffic management plans, and construction staging proposals.
Coordinate with road, geometric, civil, structural, and transportation disciplines to ensure design integration.
Review traffic forecasts and implement transportation planning solutions in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, client requirements, and international traffic engineering standards.
Participate in road safety audits (RSA), hazard identification studies, and value engineering workshops.
Support approvals and coordination processes with relevant governmental authorities and stakeholders.
Provide technical support during construction activities and monitor compliance with approved traffic management plans.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation for clients and project management.
