Job summary

AHK AB Minerals Arabia in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated Sample Preparation Technician to process client samples for analysis in the laboratory according to SOPs and QWI guidelines. You will operate equipment, label samples, and maintain precise records.

Reporting to supervisors, you will follow safety policies, participate in change management, and ensure cleanliness and accuracy while upholding HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Operate sample preparation equipment per QWI procedures.
• Sort received samples per client submission form; note discrepancies.
• Barcode labelled samples; capture weight to GeoCreate.
• Transfer scanned samples to drying racks.
• Crush, riffle, split and sieve before drying to spec.
• Operate pulverizing mills to meet end-product spec.
• Inform supervisor of problems (e.g. wet samples, breakdowns).
• Maintain machinery per procedures; keep work areas clean.

Responsibilities

• Operate various sample preparation equipment following procedures.
• Sort samples per client submission; document discrepancies.
• Barcode labelling and weight capture for GeoCreate.
• Transfer scanned samples to drying racks and drying per SOP.
• Crush, riffle, split, sieve and mill to spec; report issues.
• Keep equipment well-maintained and work area clean.
