Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery in Riyadh is seeking a Sample Preparation Supervisor to lead the preparation of gold dore and exploration samples. You will manage a team in a fast-paced lab, ensuring strict chain-of-custody and safety, and timely delivery to the assay lab.

The role requires a strong geology/chemistry background, five years of experience, and English proficiency for technical reporting. Saudi work authorization and relocation willingness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, chemistry, metallurgy or related discipline.
• Minimum five years hands-on sample preparation experience in mining/refining labs.
• Proven supervision of shift-based technical teams in industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements and quality management.
• Technical proficiency with crushers, mills and pulverizers.
• Solid understanding of chain-of-custody for precious metals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily intake, crushing, milling, and splitting of dore and core samples to ensure timely delivery to the assay lab.
• Enforce ISO 17025 standards via regular checks and calibration verifications.
• Maintain chain-of-custody records and report discrepancies to Lab Manager.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for crushers and mills to minimize downtime.
• Train and assess technicians, ensuring SOP competency and safety compliance.
• Generate daily production reports detailing sample volumes and equipment status.
