Job summary

AHK AB Minerals Arabia in Jeddah seeks a Sample Preparation Supervisor to lead the lab's prep activities and ensure client instructions are followed.

You will maintain production schedules, supervise staff, ensure QMS and HSE compliance, and drive safety and quality improvements. The role requires 3+ years in a minerals lab, a degree in minerals/geology/chemistry, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing sample preparation in a commercial minerals lab.
• Supervise staff, train, and manage performance.
• Maintain turnaround times and client instructions.
• Ensure compliance with QMS and HSE policies.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the sample preparation process as samples arrive in the lab.
• Maintain shift production levels and ensure turnaround times are met.
• Confirm client instructions and relay complete info to prep staff.
• Coordinate with the Branch Manager and other lab staff for smooth delivery of services.
• Address quality issues, investigate inquiries, and drive safety improvements.
• Organize scheduling and conduct interviews; evaluate staff performance.
• Maintain equipment preventative maintenance schedules.
