Job summary

WSP in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Interior Designer to lead the design implementation for a major supervision project. The role requires overseeing interior fit-out works to meet approved specs, quality standards, and client expectations.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in interior design with construction supervision, site coordination, and design management experience in large-scale developments, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required or related field.
• 15+ years' experience in Architecture, interior design and design management.
• Experience with high-rise towers (300+ meters) preferred.
• Experience leading design teams on large-scale Middle East projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise interior design works and lead the project team through all phases.
• Collaborate with architects and other design disciplines to resolve issues and ensure seamless execution.
• Provide input on materials and finishes balancing client preferences with design requirements.
• Contribute to and approve construction ID details aligning with the design vision.
• Review construction documentation, shop drawings and submittals for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings for project records.

WSP is seeking an experienced Interior Designer - Saudi National to join and support a major Supervision Project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the design implementation process, ensuring that interior fit‑out works are executed in accordance with approved design specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong background in construction supervision, site coordination, design management, and quality assurance for large-scale commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments. Experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia and familiarity with local regulations, standards, and industry best practices will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise interior design (ID) works, managing a dedicated team throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate closely with architects and other design disciplines (spec. lighting, MEP final fix etc) to resolve any design or construction-related issues, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Provide expert input on the selection of materials and finishes, balancing client preferences with architectural and project requirements.
• Contribute to and approve construction ID details, guaranteeing alignment with the overall design vision.
• Manage and review construction documentation, including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements....etc, to ensure all design intent and modifications are reflected & highlight any discrepancies in the design.
• Maintain accurate as‑built drawings for project records.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's of Architecture, or a related subject
• Preferably 15+ years' experience in Architecture, ID and Design with a background on
• High-rise tower (Ideally 300+ meters)
• Have been part of a Design team leading the delivery of large-scale projects, in the Middle East
