Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Architect to join our Riyadh team. The candidate should bring 15+ years in architectural design within consultancy, with a strong focus on site supervision for megaprojects across residential, commercial, buildings and malls.

You will lead design from concept to construction, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review drawings, supervise sites, and liaise with clients and regulators to secure approvals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in architectural design within consultancy.
• Strong site supervision experience for buildings.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or Middle East preferred.
• Licensure or registration as Architect advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, specifically in interface management roles within the consultancy sector, with a strong background in site supervision for projects such as Mega projects for residential, commercial, buildings & malls.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design projects from concept development through to construction completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements, design standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and landscape architects, to integrate architectural designs into overall project plans.
• Develop and review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and constructability.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and investigations to gather data and inform design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design team members.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address architectural design requirements, resolve technical issues, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and proposed design changes.
• Prepare design presentations, reports, and documentation for client meetings and project stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in architectural design and construction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural design roles within the consultancy sector, with a focus on site supervision for Building projects.
• Strong design skills and proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional licensure or registration as an Architect is advantageous.
