Job summary

Deepsource Technologies seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and maintain enterprise infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments in a hybrid-cloud setup (Azure/AWS). You will manage virtualization platforms, AD/DNS/DHCP, storage and DR, and collaborate with security and network teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V or similar virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
• Strong networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery knowledge.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and incident/change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments
• Manage Windows Server and/or Linux systems including patching, upgrades, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere ESXi, Hyper-V or equivalent technologies
• Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and related Microsoft infrastructure services
• Configure and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required
• Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity and performance and proactively address potential issues
• Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation and patch management
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• Participate in high-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade and infrastructure transformation projects
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures and operational standards
• Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python or infrastructure automation platforms
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Work closely with application cybersecurity, network, database and cloud teams to ensure reliable service delivery
• Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change and configuration management

Key Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system engineering, including significant experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Strong experience with VMware, Hyper-V or similar virtualization technologies.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
• Strong understanding of high availability, business continuity, security, and infrastructure best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in business-critical environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash.
• Experience supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
