Job summary

Rotana Hotels seeks a proactive Information Technology Manager to lead IT operations, monitoring computer hardware installation, software licenses, and maintenance to support hotel guests and staff.

You will serve as the primary contact for hardware servicing, manage inventories, logs, configurations and performance reports, and oversee software changes. Training, vendor liaison, and monthly activity reporting to leadership are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience managing IT operations, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong understanding of PC hardware and software license management.
• Ability to train staff and create user-friendly documentation.
• Experience with incident reporting and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware
• Maintain licenses for all software and ensure proper maintenance contacts
• Maintain inventory of computer supplies
• Maintain a log of computer hardware and service calls
• Manage configuration records, program files and data files
• Monitor software performance and log performance and error reports
• Install and test corporate-approved programme changes
• Investigate and report software problems to vendor or regional/corporate
• Train selected hotel employees in system management in the manager's absence
• Maintain technical documentation, system reports and newsletters
• Prepare and distribute a monthly activities report to Corporate Vice President - Information Technology

As a Information Technology Manager you are responsible to monitor the operation of all computer hardware installation and maintenance and your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Serve as primary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware
• Maintain licenses for all software and ensure that all systems are covered by the proper maintenance contacts
• Maintain a sufficient inventory of computer related supplies
• Maintain a log of all computer hardware and a log of all services calls on computer hardware
• Manage the configuration records, programme files and data files on the computer system
• Monitor the performance of the computer software and maintain a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutions
• Install and test corporate approved programme changes to the hotel computer systems
• Investigate and report software problems to the vendor, or MIS regional, area or corporate office
• Train selected hotel employees to take on major responsibilities of system managing in his absence
• Maintain technical and user documentation, system reports and newsletters
• Complete and distribute a monthly activities report to Corporate Vice President - Information Technology
