Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an IT Specialist to join the team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. The successful candidate will support the hotel's daily IT operations, maintaining systems, networks, and technology infrastructure in line with IHG standards.

The role involves providing first-line technical support, managing PMS and POS systems, ensuring system security, and coordinating with vendors for maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 2–4 years IT support experience, hospitality preferred.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS, networks, and hotel applications.
• Experience with Opera PMS, POS, and Active Directory is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and systems.
• Maintain and monitor hotel systems including PMS, POS, email, internet, and telephony.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT equipment.
• Monitor network performance and Wi‑Fi connectivity to minimize downtime.
• Perform system maintenance, updates, backups, and antivirus management.
• Create and manage user accounts and access per security policies.
• Maintain records of IT assets, licenses, and support requests.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and maintenance.
• Support IT projects, upgrades, and implementations.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and cybersecurity standards.
• Provide basic user training on hotel systems and IT best practices.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by IT Manager.

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the hotel's daily IT operations by maintaining systems, networks, and technology infrastructure. The role ensures reliable technical support, system security, and efficient operation of hotel technology in line with IHG standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues across all hotel departments.
• Maintain and monitor hotel systems including PMS, POS, email, internet, telephony, and other business applications.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor network performance, Wi-Fi connectivity, and system availability to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, backups, and antivirus management.
• Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and system access in accordance with hotel security policies.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, maintenance logs, and support requests.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment repairs and system maintenance when required.
• Support IT projects, system upgrades, and technology implementations across the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with IHG IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.
• Provide basic user training and guidance on hotel systems and IT best practices.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
  

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of IT support experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer networks, Microsoft Office 365, and hotel applications.
• Experience with hotel systems such as Opera PMS, POS, and Active Directory is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
