Detailed Job Description
As an Information Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s infrastructure, systems, applications, and data from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security events, managing vulnerabilities, coordinating incident response activities, and supporting the deployment and administration of security technologies across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate is a technically strong cybersecurity practitioner who can identify threats, respond to incidents, and actively contribute to the organization’s security posture through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and conduct security reviews across Microsoft 365 environments.
- Monitor and manage enterprise security tools including SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions.
- Perform security monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation, and response activities.
- Identify, assess, prioritize, and coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Support the implementation and management of firewall, WAF, network security, and infrastructure security controls.
- Conduct security assessments across network, endpoint, application, cloud, and infrastructure environments.
- Manage and review Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls.
- Coordinate with outsourced Security Operations Center (SOC) providers to ensure effective security monitoring and response.
- Support cybersecurity audits, compliance assessments, and third-party security reviews.
- Analyze security events and provide technical recommendations to improve security posture.
- Develop technical reports, risk assessments, security dashboards, presentations, and management updates.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to address security gaps and mitigate risks.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and operational procedures.

- Strong incident detection, investigation, response, and remediation experience.
- Knowledge of cloud, network, endpoint, application, and infrastructure security principles.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation processes.
- Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

- Ability to identify technical risks and coordinate remediation activities effectively.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication and technical reporting abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Experience working with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, and Azure security services.
- Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst or engineering experience.
- Experience with cloud security technologies and architectures.
- Threat hunting and advanced security monitoring experience.
- Security automation and orchestration experience.
- Exposure to penetration testing findings validation and remediation.
- Experience in regulated industries with compliance-driven security programs.
Recruitment Pro Tip
For this role, hiring managers will prioritize candidates who can demonstrate real hands-on cybersecurity experience rather than purely governance or policy-focused responsibilities. Make sure your CV highlights incident response cases, vulnerability remediation projects, Microsoft Security implementations, SIEM/EDR deployments, firewall administration, SOC operations, and measurable security improvements you’ve delivered within enterprise environments.
