Cybersecurity Specialist - Senior is a role in Riyadh with Parsons Corporation, overseeing cybersecurity operations, incident response, vulnerability management, access control, security administration, compliance support, and protection of project information systems across large‑scale infrastructure, transportation, rail, government, and technology‑enabled projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cybersecurity operations for project information systems and business applications, including account administration, eDiscovery, incident response, policy compliance, and security technology implementation.
- Act as the primary technical contact with vendors and suppliers to develop cybersecurity solutions and provide recommendations to project management.
- Develop, maintain, and audit the technical and analytical aspects of cybersecurity systems, security controls, and operational procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of workstations, servers, applications, and networks through effective access management, system hardening, and software updates.
- Support the secure operation of security technologies and protect sensitive information through cybersecurity best practices and cryptographic principles.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses that may affect corporate or client information assets.
- Provide cybersecurity support, guidance, training, and incident recovery assistance to end users and project teams.
- Lead and support investigations related to cybersecurity incidents and contribute to improvement initiatives.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and oversee the implementation of security controls, remediation actions, and protective measures.
- Serve as the cybersecurity representative on project teams, technical reviews, internal committees, and security‑related coordination forums.
- Provide oversight and guidance to infrastructure, client‑server, and application teams on cybersecurity requirements, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor cybersecurity risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce exposure.
- Support compliance with project, client, regulatory, and internal cybersecurity requirements.
- Review security control effectiveness and develop remediation plans for identified risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
- Support identity management, domain structures, user authentication, access control, firewall controls, VPN security, wireless network security, and digital signature requirements.
- Prepare cybersecurity reports, risk summaries, technical assessments, incident updates, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project leadership, clients, vendors, IT teams, and technical specialists to resolve security issues in a timely and practical manner.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and support consistent application of security policies across project environments.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT infrastructure, network security, or related technology environments.
- Strong experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, vulnerability management, security administration, and risk remediation.
- Knowledge of network technologies including MPLS, VPN, wireless networking, firewalls, access control, authentication, and digital signatures.
- Experience with domain structures, identity management, user authentication systems, and account administration.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800‑53 and related cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and control environments.
- Ability to evaluate existing security controls and develop remediation plans for identified risks and vulnerabilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate cybersecurity incidents and recommend effective technical solutions.
- Experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure, transportation, rail, government, or complex project environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance practices is advantageous.
- Experience with cybersecurity technologies, security monitoring tools, and enterprise security solutions is preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, project stakeholders, infrastructure teams, application teams, and multidisciplinary groups.
- Detail‑oriented approach with strong focus on confidentiality, integrity, availability, compliance, documentation, and practical risk reduction.
