Job summary

Eram Talent is seeking a skilled Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The Industrial Hygiene Technician will support the implementation and maintenance of industrial hygiene programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Education/Certification: Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Science, Chemistry Science, or higher; OHST certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial hygiene experience in petrochemical/refining/chemical industries.
• Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Science, Chemistry Science, or higher.
• OHST certification or equivalent, knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of IH programs.
• Conduct hazard identifications and PPE assessments.
• Perform IH surveys: heat stress, noise, chemical exposure, lighting, ergonomics.
• Assist Respiratory Protection Program and respirator fit testing.

Job description

Eram Talent is seeking a skilled Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The Industrial Hygiene Technician will support the implementation and maintenance of industrial hygiene programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Education and Certification:

• Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Science, Chemistry Science, or higher.
• Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST)certification or equivalent
• Knowledge and / or the ability to quickly learn OSHA and similar regulations and consensus standards governing industrial hygiene.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of working experience in Industrial Hygiene function in a petrochemical, refining, fertilizer and/or chemical industry.

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge and / or the ability to quickly learn conducting hazard identifications, PPE assessments, job safety analyses for work activities and industrial hygiene programs.
• Must be customer focused and results driven, with the ability to effectively collaborate and work with company and contractor personnel at various levels throughout the facility.
• Must have high levels of self-motivation and self-confidence.
• Good oral and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.

Skills:

• Knowledge and / or the ability to quickly learn using direct reading instrumentation such as sound level meters, sampling pumps, multi-gas monitors, Lux meters, and Photo-ionisation detectors (PIDs).
• Knowledge and/or ability to perform qualitative and quantitative hazard assessment.

Abilities:

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Support the Industrial Hygienist with the implementation and execution of the Industrial Hygiene Program.
• Perform industrial hygiene surveys in the workplace, e.g. Heat Stress monitoring, Noise Surveys, Chemical exposure surveys, Lighting surveys, and Ergonomic studies.
• Ensure calibration and operability of all industrial hygiene instrumentation; maintain inventory of associated industrial hygiene sampling consumable materials.
• Prepare all industrial hygiene sampling media and ensure dispatch of samples to external analytical facilities.
• Supports implementation of Respiratory Protection Program including operation of breathing air compressor
• Conduct respirator fit testing and the associated record keeping.
• Conducts inspection/function test of respirators.
• Supports maintenance and calibration of multi-gas detectors.
• Provide day-to-day industrial hygiene support for Plant personnel &contractors, including participation in PPE assessments, job safety analyses and workplace hazard assessments.
• Participate in compliance audits, conduct formal audits on IH program
