Job summary

Aramco Overseas Company seeks an Industrial Computer Engineer to lead design, implementation and support of Marine OT network infrastructure. You will manage Windows systems, Active Directory and security monitoring for DCS/PLC environments in Saudi Arabia.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams, maintain documentation, and participate in project design reviews, FAT/SAT, and upgrades while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust security practices.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
• Five years of experience in cybersecurity infrastructure for DCS/PLC in an industrial environment, with Oil & Gas experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support and maintain OT network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Maintain system integrity with backup, recovery procedures and regular maintenance.
• Configure Windows domain controller, Active Directory and group policies per standards.
• Implement and configure Splunk for security monitoring and response.
• Apply and manage configuration with Tripwire and related tools.
• Manage relational databases and ensure data integrity.
• Configure WSUS to deploy patches and updates across systems.
• Set up automated backup/recovery with Acronis and Veeam.
• Keep endpoints protected with latest security updates and patches (e.g., Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator).
• Monitor network tools (SNMP, NetFlow) and analyze logs for threats.

Overview

We are seeking an Industrial Computer Engineer to join Saudi Aramco’s Marine Technical Support Department. The Marine Technical Support Department is a vital part of Saudi Aramco’s Industrial Services. The department has a reliable fleet of vessels to provide an assortment of Marine Services, to support the exploration, production, and transportation of oil, in and around Saudi Aramco’s offshore concession areas.

Your primary role is to serve as the Process Automation & Networks Administrator proponent representative, in the development, support and administration of Marine plants at Ras Tanura West Pier, Abu Ali Pier and Tanajib Pier respectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Experienced in designing, implementing, support and maintenance of Operational Technology network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Maintain system integrity and availability by implementing robust backup and recovery procedures, and performing regular maintenance and optimization tasks.
• Solid experience and knowledge in Windows System Administration, configuring domain controller, active directory, creating or modifying group policies and etc., as per the applicable standards.
• Experience with implementing and configuring Security Incident & Event Management (Splunk) systems to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Knowledge of compliance and configuration management tools (Tripwire), including their implementation, configuration, and use.
• Solid experience and knowledge in relational database management systems.
• Configure and administer WSUS to deploy and manage patches, updates, and hotfixes for all systems, ensuring compliance with organizational security policies.
• Experienced in configuring and setting up automated backup & recovery systems (Eg: Acronis, Veeam).
• Ensure that all endpoints are properly configured and protected with the latest security updates and patches (Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator).
• Configure and troubleshoot network monitoring tools, including SNMP, NetFlow, and packet capture.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic and logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
• Provide support during the – design review and feedback, factory acceptance test, site acceptance test, operational support, obsolescence management and upgrades, risk assessments, decommissioning, and/or actively participates in new projects as per the requirements of the department.
• Engage in compliance evaluations and adhere to organizational standards, policies, and best practices to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configuration files, and user/instruction manuals and procedures.
• Facilitates and engages in technical discussions with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Minimum Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, from a recognized and approved institution.
• Complete five (5) years of experience in installation, configuration, setup, support of Cybersecurity infrastructure for the DCS and PLC systems in an industrial environment with five (5) years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Must be fluent in written and oral English and shall have wide knowledge in Cybersecurity and Industrial Automation systems.
