Overview
We are seeking an Industrial Computer Engineer to join Saudi Aramco's Marine Technical Support Department. The department supports the exploration, production, and transportation of oil in and around Aramco's offshore concession areas. Your primary role is to serve as the Process Automation & Networks Administrator proponent representative in the development, support, and administration of Marine plants at Ras Tanura West Pier, Abu Ali Pier and Tanajib Pier respectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, support and maintain operational technology network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices.
- Maintain system integrity and availability by implementing robust backup and recovery procedures and performing regular maintenance and optimization tasks.
- Configure Windows system administration, domain controller, Active Directory, group policies, and other services as per applicable standards.
- Implement and configure security incident and event management Splunk systems to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Use compliance and configuration management tools such as Tripwire, including their implementation, configuration and use.
- Maintain relational database management systems; configure and administer WSUS to deploy and manage patches, updates and hotfixes for all systems.
- Configure and set up automated backup and recovery systems (e.g., Acronis, Veeam).
- Ensure that all endpoints are properly configured and protected with the latest security updates and patches, Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator.
- Configure and troubleshoot network monitoring tools including SNMP, NetFlow and packet capture.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities; apply cybersecurity principles and practices such as threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
- Provide support during design review, factory acceptance test, site acceptance test, operational support, obsolescence management and upgrades, risk assessments, decommissioning and/or new projects as required.
- Engage in compliance evaluations and adhere to organizational standards, policies and best practices to meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including system diagrams, configuration files and user instruction manuals and procedures.
- Facilitate and engage in technical discussions with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate within a team environment to achieve common goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Five (5) years of experience installing, configuring, setting up, and supporting cybersecurity infrastructure for DCS and PLC systems in an industrial environment.
- Five (5) years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Fluent in written and oral English.
- Wide knowledge in cybersecurity and industrial automation systems.
