Job summary

Air Products is seeking a HYCO Shift Operator for the Jubail APQ facility. You will oversee daily operation of the HYCO plant, manage hydrogen and CO2 streams, and support commissioning and maintenance activities to meet safety, reliability, and production targets.

The role requires 5+ years of plant operations experience, strong safety leadership, and effective communication with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of plant operations experience in hydrogen/SMR or acid gas removal.
• Proficiency in English speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Operate the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer and CO2 recovery units as per Work Instructions.
• Manage pipeline network to supply hydrogen, steam, and CO2 safely and efficiently.
• Support commissioning activities and provide V&V for safety and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S, safety permits, and site procedures.
