Job summary

Air Products is seeking a HYCO Shift Supervisor to lead a multi-disciplinary operations team in overseeing two HYCO steam methane reformers and associated facilities. You will drive safety, reliability and efficiency while coordinating with engineering and maintenance to meet production targets.

The role requires extensive experience in gas or petrochemical operations, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to manage complex shift work and customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or chemical process operations.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in gas, petrochemical or related operations.
• 4+ years in line supervision of process operations.
• HYCO knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and ensure a safe work environment.
• Operate HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit when required.
• Lead startups, shutdowns and emergencies with the operations team.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance and control teams for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Support shutdown planning and turnaround activities.
• Ensure compliance with CM/PM tasks and EH&S standards.
• Coach and develop operations staff for performance and safety.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
