Job summary

WSP in Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled HSE Officer to embed Health, Safety and Environmental policies across projects, sites and offices, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, NEBOSH IGC, and at least 5 years' experience on infrastructure projects, including pumping stations and storage tanks. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in dealing with infrastructure projects, preferably involving pumping stations and storage tanks.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant subject.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring project compliance with WSP's HSEQ Management System and client's HSEQ requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate health, safety, and environmental arrangements at site to ensure regulatory and client standards.
• Review and approve RAMS and RAMS documents prior to work commencement.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits; document findings and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
• Coordinate and test emergency response plans and drills as per standards and legal requirements.
• Follow up on contractor incident investigations and verify root cause analyses and preventive actions.
• Provide technical HSE guidance to project teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Conduct HSE meetings, toolbox talks and workshops to promote safety awareness and engagement.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports with KPIs, incidents and safety initiatives.
• Promote strong safety culture through leadership and proactive risk management.
• Monitor environmental aspects and impacts in line with sustainability requirements.
• Develop and deliver HSE training to enhance competency and awareness.
• Track and analyze HSE performance trends and recommend improvements.
