Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental functions across Riyadh Metro operations, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. You will drive world-class safety culture, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance in a complex metro environment.

The role requires 10+ years HSE experience in rail or infrastructure, with at least 5 years in leadership, and a strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of HSE experience in metro, railway, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
• Minimum 5 years in an HSE leadership/managerial role.
• NEBOSH IGC/Diploma certification.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 knowledge/auditor certification preferred.
• Experience in incident investigation and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in HSE reporting tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all HSE activities across metro operations and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, client requirements, and HSE standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance and compliance.
• Lead safety inspections, audits, and workplace assessments.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness programs.
• Monitor environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare HSE reports, KPIs, and regulatory documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and zero-harm environment.
