Job summary

TASC Outsourcing seeks an experienced Safety Officer fluent in English and Mandarin to support project operations in Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh or Jeddah. This contract role demands a strong HSE background and international certifications.

The role focuses on site safety management, risk assessments, PTW oversight, and safety training, with immediate mobilisation and a 12-month contract. Saudi documentation and relocation support may be required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in OHS/Engineering/Env Science.
• Fluent English and Mandarin.
• Saudi driving licence and valid Iqama preferred.

Safety Officer – Mandarin Speaker

Location: Riyadh / Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Employment Type: Contract – 12 months, extendable

Joining: Immediate

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer fluent in both English and Mandarin to support project operations in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with HSE policies and applicable regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, HSE audits, risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Monitor Permit to Work (PTW), working at height, lifting operations, electrical safety and other high-risk activities.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE training.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, recommend corrective actions, and maintain HSE reports.
• Coordinate with project teams and client representatives to promote a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant HSE/Safety experience.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
• IOSH Managing Safely and additional HSE certifications are preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English, along with fluent Mandarin.
• Valid Saudi Iqama, Ajeer contract and Saudi driving licence are required.
• Experience in construction, industrial, infrastructure or electromechanical projects is essential; elevator/escalator industry experience is a strong advantage.

Contract Details

• 12-month contract, extendable based on project requirements.
• Six working days per week, eight hours per day.
• Medical insurance for the employee and family.
• Immediate mobilisation preferred.
