Qiddiya is seeking a Golf Course Greenkeeper to uphold the pristine condition of its golf course and ensure exceptional playability and aesthetics for members and guests. The role focuses on greens, fairways, bunkers, and sustainable practices to elevate the course experience.

Responsibilities include soil management, mowing, landscaping, and coordinating maintenance schedules while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards critical to a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in golf course maintenance, preferably in luxury environments.
• Proficiency with turf maintenance machinery.
• Knowledge of turfgrass species, pests, and diseases.
• Ability to apply fertilizers and pesticides safely.
• Valid pesticide applicator certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain greens, fairways, roughs, and bunkers to high standards.
• Manage soil, mowing, and landscaping; coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Maintain maintenance equipment and coordinate with Mechanic for repairs.
• Follow health, safety protocols when handling chemicals and machinery.
• Promote sustainable landscaping to conserve water and minimize environmental impact.
• Work outdoors in various weather; maintain physical stamina.

The Golf Course Greenkeeper is responsible for maintaining the impeccable condition of the golf course, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of playability and aesthetics. This role involves the maintenance of greens, fairways, and bunkers, and the implementation of sustainable practices to enhance the overall quality of the course. Candidates will possess a strong knowledge of turf management, a passion for golf, and a dedication to maintaining an exceptional golfing environment for our members and guests.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Golf Course Greenkeeper is to ensure the golf course remains in pristine condition. The scope of this covers the greens, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and other course areas. Responsibilities include soil management, mowing, and landscaping, as well as coordinating with others to execute maintenance schedules effectively. The Greenkeeper plays a vital role in enhancing the golfing experience by maintaining course standards that reflect the exclusivity and excellence of our club.

Turf Management & Maintenance

• Maintain bunkers, sand traps, and other specialised course areas to ensure they meet playability standards.
• Repair and maintain cart paths and other course infrastructure.
• Assist with landscaping features, including trees and shrubs.

Equipment Management

• Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working condition through regular inspections and servicing.
• Coordinate with the Mechanic any repairs and replacements of equipment as needed.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Follow all health and safety protocols when handling chemicals, operating machinery, and working outdoors.
• Keep the golf course environment safe for players, visitors, and colleagues by removing hazards promptly.
• Support sustainable landscaping practices to conserve water and minimise environmental impact.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar level of golf course maintenance or turf management, preferably in a luxury or high-end golf environment.

Technical Skills & Certifications

• Proficiency in operating turf maintenance machinery (mowers, tractors, sprayers).
• Basic knowledge of turfgrass species, pests, and turf diseases.
• Ability to apply fertilizers and pesticides safely, with knowledge of local regulations.
• Valid pesticide applicator certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking.
