Job summary

DAR AL RIYADH seeks a Senior Landscape Construction Supervisor to oversee field execution of golf-course features in Riyadh. You will verify coordinates, elevations, and grading against approved drawings with the course shaper and architect, ensuring high-end quality throughout construction.

You will supervise turf establishment, drainage, hardscape, and architectural finishes, coordinate with irrigation, and manage nonconforming works and inspections to deliver a premiere landscape project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Agriculture/Agronomy Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of site-based supervision experience in high-end landscaping and architectural construction.
• Experience with engineering supervision or project-management consultancy.
• Experience supervising golf-course developments, luxury resorts or large landscape projects.
• Practical knowledge of golf-course shaping, grading, drainage, greens, tees, bunkers and cart-path construction.
• Understanding USGA recommendations for greens, rootzones, drainage aggregates and bunker materials.
• Experience supervising warm-season turf establishment, arid-climate planting.
• Experience inspecting premium architectural finishes, façades and fit-out works.
• Ability to interpret landscape, architectural, grading, irrigation and civil drawings.
• Experience processing inspections and maintaining quality records; managing nonconforming work.
• Strong site coordination, reporting, problem-solving and contractor-management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field execution and shaping of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, mounds, roughs and other features.
• Verify coordinates, elevations, slopes, contours, drainage and grading tolerances against drawings and design intent.
• Supervise construction of USGA-type green profiles including subgrade, drainage and rootzone placement.
• Inspect bunker formation, drainage, lining systems and sand placement.
• Monitor rootzone, gravel, bunker sand, and soil placement and compaction methods.
• Supervise turf sprigging, seeding, or sodding, watering and initial fertilization.
• Inspect trees, shrubs, groundcovers and desert-adapted planting works.
• Monitor irrigation coverage and sprinkler levels; coordinate irrigation components.
• Inspect hardscape installations including paths, walls, decking, curbs and signage.
• Supervise clubhouse finishes and architectural details; compare with shop drawings and samples.
• Process requests for inspection and maintain inspection records and photos.
• Identify defects or nonconforming works and enforce corrective actions.
• Conduct snagging and pre-handover inspections and support as-built documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the field execution and final shaping of greens tees fairways bunkers mounds roughs and other golf-course features with the Golf Course Shaper and golf-course architect
• Verify feature coordinates elevations slopes contours drainage falls and grading tolerances against approved drawings survey data and design intent
• Supervise the construction of USGA-type green profiles including subgrade preparation herringbone drainage gravel layers intermediate layers where specified rootzone placement and final grading
• Inspect bunker formation drainage lining systems sand placement face slopes edges and transitions to adjacent playing surfaces
• Monitor rootzone gravel bunker sand and soil placement and confirm that approved materials layer thicknesses and compaction methods are used
• Supervise turf sprigging seeding or sodding establishment watering initial fertilization mowing and agronomic grow-in activities
• Inspect tree shrub groundcover and desert-adapted planting works including soil preparation planting pits staking mulching and establishment care
• Monitor irrigation coverage sprinkler levels and the coordination of irrigation components with turf planting and finished landscape levels
• Inspect hardscape installations including cart paths retaining walls bridges timber decking kerbs paving steps course signage and architectural site furniture
• Supervise clubhouse and auxiliary-building architectural finishes including walls floors ceilings doors joinery facade elements and specialist decorative works
• Compare installed finishes with approved shop drawings samples mock-ups material submissions and architectural design requirements
• Process landscape and architectural Requests for Inspection and maintain accurate inspection testing photographic and quality-control records
• Identify defective damaged or nonconforming works issue observations or nonconformance reports and enforce timely corrective actions
• Conduct snagging and pre-handover inspections and support the verification of as-built drawings warranties maintenance information and closeout documentation

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Agriculture/Agronomy Engineering or another closely related discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum 10 years of site-based supervision experience in high-end landscaping and architectural construction
• Demonstrated experience working for an engineering supervision consultancy or project-management consultancy
• Proven experience supervising golf-course developments, sports fields, luxury resorts or comparable large-scale landscape projects
• Practical knowledge of golf-course shaping, grading, drainage, greens, tees, bunkers and cart-path construction
• Understanding of applicable USGA recommendations for green profiles, rootzones, drainage aggregates and bunker materials
• Experience supervising warm-season turf establishment, grow-in and arid-climate planting
• Experience inspecting premium architectural finishes, facade elements, fit-out works and approved mock-ups
• Ability to interpret landscape, architectural, grading, irrigation and civil drawings
• Experience processing inspections, maintaining quality records and managing nonconforming work
• Strong site coordination, reporting, problem-solving and contractor-management skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
