Job summary

BEC Arabia is seeking a GL-Team Leader to head the general ledger function in Riyadh, overseeing accurate financial reporting for major construction and infrastructure projects. You will ensure IFRS compliance, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements across the finance team.

You will work with project managers and senior leadership to deliver timely insights, maintain strong controls, and support budgeting and forecasting in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance with leadership experience.
• CPA/CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and Saudi regulatory standards (GOSI, Zakat).
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and audit coordination.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the general ledger team and manage day-to-day accounting operations with IFRS and Saudi standards.
• Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for senior management.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard data and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and address audit findings.
• Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure Saudization (Nitaqat) and other local labor law compliance in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams to track project-specific financial performance and revenue recognition.
• Drive process improvements for efficient GL management and reporting.
• Mentor junior accountants and support budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
