Job summary

SAUDI GEOPHYSICAL CONSULTING OFFICE is seeking an Operations Geoscientist for the Unconventional Program in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will lead geological evaluations, ensuring efficient delivery of vertical and horizontal wells, and provide input on geosteering operations.

Ideal applicants will have over 15 years of experience in unconventional hydrocarbon basins, proficiency in data analytics, and strong interpersonal skills. The position requires working on a 24/7 rotation schedule while training junior professionals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years in unconventional tight sand and shale plays.
• Experience providing assistance in well planning and drilling execution.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate regional to field scale geological evaluations.
• Deliver vertical and horizontal wells with minimal supervision.
• Provide advisory input on geosteering directional wells.
• Utilize drilling parameters and well correlations.
• Document operations in written reports and illustrations.
