Job summary

Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia seeks a Reservoir Geologist to join the Eastern Unconventional Characterization Division within UR Exploration & Characterization Department. The role focuses on integrating geological data to inform reservoir characterization and development.

You will collaborate with drilling, production and reservoir engineers, mentor juniors, and contribute to optimized resource development for shale unconventional plays across the kingdom.

Qualifications

• As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelor’s degree in geology or geophysics; an advanced degree is preferred and reduces prerequisite work experience.
• 10+ years in technical roles with at least 5 years in shale unconventional plays; experience integrating geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data.
• Experience working with reservoir engineers and reserve auditors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and interpret geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to establish reservoir properties and predict volumes.
• Conduct detailed geological studies to optimize well placement and reservoir development.
• Generate cross sections, maps, core data, and reports to support development decisions.
• Collaborate with drilling, production, and reservoir engineering teams to improve outcomes.
• Mentor junior staff and present findings to management.
