Qualifications

The company is seeking a General Accountant for an on-site, full-time position (Morning Shift) in Riyadh/Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting financial reporting for project and corporate activities in a contracting/project accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of books including AP, AR, payroll accruals, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage invoicing and collections for project billings; reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Process vendor invoices and payments; maintain vendor records and ensure timely settlements.
• Assist with project cost tracking, job costing entries, and variance analysis versus budgets.
• Support payroll processing by preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to salaries, benefits, and statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian tax and regulatory reporting requirements and support external audits.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate recognition of revenue and expenses and maintain supporting documentation.

Job Specification

Must-have

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction, electro-mechanical contracting, or industrial engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, and cost allocation methodologies.
• Skilled in accounts payable/receivable processes, reconciliations, and collections management.
• Familiarity with payroll accounting, statutory deductions, and related journal entries.
• Proficiency with accounting software (ERP or accounting packages) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with VAT filing, banking, year-end closing, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Fluency in English and Hindi required.
• Candidate from Kerala only; transferable visa mandatory; valid driving license an advantage.

Preferred

• CMA/ACCA/CPA or comparable certification preferred.
