Job summary

Electra in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Purchase Runner to source, collect, and deliver materials, products, samples, and urgent procurement requirements across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role supports the Procurement team by identifying suppliers, obtaining product information, coordinating local purchases, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites.

You will act as a key link between suppliers and project teams, maintain cost efficiency and compliance, travel within GCC as needed, and

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of local supply markets (Construction/Fit-Out or Events beneficial).
• Fluent in English and Arabic; effective written and spoken communication.
• Experience in sourcing, supplier evaluation, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Source materials from local markets across KSA.
• Visit suppliers to identify products and alternatives.
• Verify quality, quantity, specs, availability, and reliability.
• Obtain quotations, specs, samples, catalogs, and supplier info.
• Support procurement by identifying new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Assist in negotiating prices and delivery terms within approved limits.
• Collect purchased materials and coordinate delivery to sites.
• Ensure goods match approved specs and quantities before acceptance.
• Expedite urgent procurement requests and shipments as needed.
• Coordinate transportation and safe handling of items.
• Maintain supplier relationships and monitor responsiveness.
• Maintain purchase records, supplier visits, quotations, and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
