Position Overview
A major Oil & Gas Services Company operating in Saudi Arabia is seeking 4 experienced Fracturing Maintenance Assistants to support its hydraulic fracturing operations.
The successful candidates will assist Maintenance Technicians, Mechanics, and Electrical/Electronic Technicians with the inspection, maintenance, preparation, repair, and servicing of hydraulic fracturing equipment and associated support systems.
This is a hands-on field-based position requiring a strong commitment to safety, equipment reliability, housekeeping, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist maintenance personnel with the inspection, servicing, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic fracturing equipment.
- Support routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities on fracturing pumps, blenders, hydration units, chemical systems, power units, manifolds, valves, and associated equipment.
- Assist with equipment rig-up and rig-down activities.
- Help prepare equipment for fracturing jobs, including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and general servicing.
- Assist with changing filters, hoses, fittings, seals, gaskets, fluids, and other serviceable components.
- Assist mechanics and technicians with dismantling, assembly, and replacement of mechanical components.
- Support electrical and instrumentation technicians when required, within the limits of training and authorization.
- Carry out visual inspections to identify leaks, damage, wear, corrosion, loose connections, or other equipment defects.
- Report equipment abnormalities and maintenance requirements promptly to the appropriate supervisor or technician.
- Assist with pressure testing, function testing, and equipment checks under the direction of qualified personnel.
- Ensure tools, spare parts, consumables, and maintenance equipment are properly stored and readily available.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas around fracturing equipment and maintenance facilities.
- Assist with loading, unloading, movement, and positioning of equipment, tools, and spare parts.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, inspection documentation, and equipment logs as required.
- Follow maintenance schedules and company procedures.
- Participate in toolbox talks, pre-job meetings, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
- Support emergency response activities when required.
- Perform other reasonable maintenance and field support duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Required Experience
- Previous experience in a maintenance assistant, mechanical assistant, equipment technician assistant, or similar field-based role .
- Previous Oil & Gas, industrial, heavy equipment, or well services experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working around hydraulic fracturing or other well services equipment would be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment, tools, pumps, engines, hydraulics, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to safely use common hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.
- Willingness to work in demanding oilfield environments and extended shifts.
- Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work.
