Job summary

Alfanar is a Saudi company seeking a hands-on Maintenance Foreman for an on-site role on a major construction site in Saudi Arabia. You will lead maintenance on diesel generators, pumps, and heavy equipment, directing crews and coordinating with operators and suppliers to minimize downtime.

We require 5–10 years of field experience, a mechanical or electrical diploma, and PTW/LOTO knowledge, plus strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Day and night shifts on-site in Riyadh region.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or diesel/heavy equipment maintenance
• 5–10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in construction, heavy plant, or industrial environments, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong working knowledge of diesel generator systems (FG Wilson, Caterpillar, or similar) and preventive maintenance practices
• Experience with pumps and Air Compressor
• Exposure to major equipment brands (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, JCB, or similar) is an advantage
• Working knowledge of permit-to-work PTW and lockout/tagout procedures, and general site safety practices
• Proficiency in maintaining organized maintenance and inventory records (Excel)
• Willingness to work Day and Night shift rotations
• Valid Saudi driving license preferred; transferable iqama for expatriate candidates
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Job Purpose

This is a field‑based role: you will work closely with your crew to maintain equipment reliability and minimize downtime across the site.

Key Accountability Areas

You will oversee the generator fleet — including FG Wilson, Caterpillar, and similar brands — servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate fuel logs across generators, tower lights, and site vehicles. You will manage maintenance and breakdown support for heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and JCBs, as well as road sweepers (Scarab or similar) and Air compressors, coordinating with operators and suppliers as required. The role also involves basic electrical & Mechanical troubleshooting. You will supervise day and night shift maintenance crews, assign daily priorities, and ensure work is completed to a consistent standard, including maintaining maintenance logbooks, tracking meter hours, and managing spare parts inventory. All repair work must be carried out in accordance with site safety procedures, including permit‑to‑work and lockout/tagout protocols, and you will serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers on equipment‑related matters.
