Job summary

alfanar seeks a hands-on Maintenance Foreman to lead maintenance on an active construction site, focusing on generators, pumps, and heavy equipment. You will guide a crew to keep equipment reliable and downtime to a minimum, on a field-based operation.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in construction or industrial settings, with strong diesel generator knowledge and experience with pumps, air compressors, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or diesel/heavy equipment maintenance.
• 5–10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in construction, heavy plant, or industrial environments, including supervisory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel generator systems (FG Wilson, Caterpillar, or similar).
• Experience with pumps and air compressors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee generator fleet and heavy equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and fuel logs.
• Supervise day and night shift maintenance crews, assign daily priorities, ensure standards.
• Maintain maintenance logbooks, track meter hours, manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all repair work complies with permit-to-work and lockout/tagout safety procedures; coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
