Job summary

Alfanar is a Saudi company seeking a Testing and Commissioning professional to conduct on-site power plant testing, ensure documentation accuracy, and coordinate inspections. The role involves supporting design reviews, safety adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives within the testing and commissioning team.

The candidate should have a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, 0-2 years of related experience, and familiarity with testing methodologies and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Fresher 0-2 years experience.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project and new equipment test reports, including updates and corrections.
• Ensure documentation of non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts.
• Conduct functional testing according to the specified scheme.
• Coordinate testing activities during customer inspections.
• Resolve technical issues during power plant testing and site commissioning.
• Execute site testing and commissioning activities.
• Perform testing and commissioning related to substations or power plants.
• Test and commission substation equipment (relays, switchgear, transformers, etc.).
• Adhere to all safety procedures during testing and commissioning.
• Review design documents before release to provide technical support.
• Initiate continuous improvement and maintain records with the department manager.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions with the department manager.
• Train sub-ordinates and form a team to execute tasks effectively.
• Provide leadership and delegate tasks to maintain motivation.
• Deliver planned activities within schedules and cost constraints.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and task execution.
• Resolve related problems and escalate complex issues.
• Coordinate defined written systems and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Key Accountability Areas

Documentation and Reporting:

• Preparing project and new equipment test reports, including updates and corrections.
• Ensuring the documentation of non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts.

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

• Resolve any related problems arise and elevate any complex operational issues.
