Riyad Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to conduct complete credit analysis by gathering data, generating key ratios, and assessing credit worthiness to support loan decisions. You will prepare risk assessments and recommendations for the Credit Application Memorandum (CA) for corporate customers.
Responsibilities include adhering to credit policies, performing sector analysis, and communicating findings to relationship managers to facilitate timely decisions.
To analyze financial situation and credit worthiness by conducting complete credit analysis (i.e., gathering data, generating key ratios and checking ratios vs. benchmarks and competitors) to help accurately assess customers’ credit worthiness in order to present them in the CA.
Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Adhere to Credit Policies, Procedures and Credit Rating requirements.
Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work
Receives credit proposals and pertaining information of customers from Corporate Banking relationship managers to conduct the necessary credit analysis.
Collects additional financial information and data from any available internal and external sources to build in compressive data to support effective analysis.
Arranges financial data in spread sheets and conducts ratio and cash flow analyses. Then produce and validate the risk rating using bank’s rating system.
Conducts sector analysis to understand the customer positioning within his sector.
Communicates the financial health and credit worthiness and limit report to the RMs in order to complete the Credit Application Memorandum (CA) by adding recommendations.
Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with preferably a Professional Qualification:
ACCA /CIMA is preferred
1-4 years relevant experience in the banking sector, preferably in credit analysis or credit risk management.
