Job summary

Ninety One is seeking a seasoned Fixed Income Credit Research professional to conduct bottom-up credit investigations across Saudi Arabia and emerging markets. You will generate differentiated ideas and deliver clear investment recommendations to portfolio managers, while supporting top-down country and sector analyses.

The role emphasizes issuers’ fundamentals, macro insights, and continuous development of proprietary tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in fixed income, credit research, or investment analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial institutions and corporate credit fundamentals.
• Familiarity with emerging markets; knowledge of Saudi Arabia and GCC.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; CFA qualification progress advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity and desire to continuously improve.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent, bottom-up credit research on financial institutions and corporates across Saudi Arabia and other emerging markets.

• Formulate and communicate clear investment recommendations to portfolio managers.
• Contribute to top-down analysis to support country, sector, and risk positioning.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of issuers and adjust recommendations as needed.
• Analyse financial statements, credit metrics, and qualitative factors to assess issuer fundamentals and sustainability.
• Incorporate macroeconomic and market insights into investment analysis.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of proprietary research tools and databases.
• Prepare written research, internal and client reporting, and support investment presentations.
• Participate in investment meetings and contribute to ongoing improvement across research processes.

You should consider applying if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in fixed income, credit research, or investment analysis, ideally gained within asset management, investment banking or a credit rating agency.
• A strong understanding of financial institutions and corporate credit fundamentals.
• Familiarity with emerging markets, with knowledge of Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC region.
• A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; progress toward or completion of the CFA qualification is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously improve.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are required.
