Job summary

ACWA Operations is seeking experienced Field Operators for opportunities across Saudi Arabia's RO desalination and CCGT power plants.

You will operate, inspect, and monitor field equipment, coordinate with Control Room Operators and Shift Supervisors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role requires hands-on field work and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in power generation or water desalination plants.
• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine field inspections to monitor equipment conditions, operating parameters, leaks, vibration, unusual noises, and potential issues.
• Inspect RO desalination equipment and CCGT equipment, including pretreatment, high‑pressure pumps, membrane trains, energy recovery devices, turbine auxiliaries, and steam‑water systems.
• Perform start‑up, shutdown, line-up, and changeover activities in coordination with the control room.
• Monitor local instruments, verify equipment status, and report abnormalities to CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.
• Support maintenance activities, equipment isolation, permit-to-work, and safe return-to-service procedures.
• Assist with RO flushing and CIP activities or CCGT auxiliary‑system operations, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate field operating logs and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Comply with HSE standards, safe chemical handling procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental protection practices.

Function: Operations – RO Desalination / CCGT Power Generation

Job Summary

ACWA Operations is seeking experienced Field Operators for upcoming opportunities across power generation and water desalination plants in Saudi Arabia.

The role is responsible for operating, inspecting, and monitoring field equipment, identifying abnormal operating conditions, and coordinating with Control Room Operators and Shift Supervisors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine field inspections to monitor equipment conditions, operating parameters, leaks, vibration, unusual noises, and potential operational issues.
• Inspect RO desalination equipment, including pretreatment systems, chemical dosing, high-pressure pumps, membrane trains, and energy recovery devices, or CCGT equipment, including turbine auxiliaries, steam-water systems, cooling systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Perform authorized local equipment start-up, shutdown, line-up, and changeover activities in coordination with the control room.
• Monitor local instruments, verify equipment status, and report abnormal conditions to the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.
• Support maintenance activities, equipment isolation, permit-to-work requirements, and safe return-to-service procedures.
• Assist with RO flushing and cleaning-in-place (CIP) activities or CCGT auxiliary-system operations, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate field operating logs, report equipment defects, and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Comply with HSE standards, safe chemical handling procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental protection practices.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education

• Diploma.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in power generation or water desalination plants.
• Experience working in the Middle East is preferred.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of field equipment inspection, local instrumentation, and operating procedures.
• Understanding of RO desalination equipment and water treatment systems or CCGT plant auxiliaries and steam-water systems.
• Experience in local equipment operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and shift reporting.
• Knowledge of equipment isolation, permit-to-work procedures, and safe chemical handling.
• Awareness of HSE requirements, emergency response, and environmental protection practices.
• Good communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and coordination skills.

Required Certifications

• Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is preferred.

Work Conditions

• Plant-based position in Saudi Arabia.
• Shift-based operations involving field inspections, equipment monitoring, and support during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency situations.
