Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Structural/Architectural Field Engineer for the Ar Rjum project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves construction engineering across civil disciplines, including concrete, structural steel, earthwork, and architectural finishes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related subject.
• 10 years progressive construction or civil engineering experience; or 15 years in lieu of a degree in the MENA region.
• Strong English language communication and report-writing skills.
• Must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and manage relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues for commodity installations and work sequencing.
• Provide field engineering support to superintendents and ensure materials, equipment, and quality meet design requirements.
• Develop work plans, coordinate material take-offs, and document inspections and progress.
• Perform Civil Field Engineering activities including formwork, rebar, concrete, structural steel, and architectural work inspections.
• Ensure procedural compliance, material control, and thorough documentation of inspections.
