Job summary

Urban Ridge Supplies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Director – Architecture & Design to lead the Architecture & Design division, oversee project delivery, BD, and client relationships across hospitality, F&B, retail, and mixed-use developments.

The candidate will bring 15+ years in Architecture & Design, with 7+ years in leadership, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the GCC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Professional registration or architectural license is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in Architecture & Design.
• 7+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven leadership of architecture/design firms or large departments.
• Strong portfolio in hospitality, F&B, retail, and mixed-use developments.
• Extensive BIM workflows, project management, and design coordination.
• Business development, client acquisition, contracts, and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations, strategic direction, and business performance of the Architecture & Design division.
• Develop and execute the company's growth strategy and expand the client portfolio.
• Oversee planning, design, coordination, and delivery of multiple projects.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery meeting quality standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including Architects, Interior Designers, BIM Managers, and coordinators.
• Establish design standards, technical excellence, and best practices across projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Participate in client presentations, project negotiations, and executive meetings.
• Review and approve concept designs, development packages, and construction docs.
• Monitor project profitability, resource planning, budgets, and performance.
• Drive innovation with new technologies, BIM methods, and sustainable design.
• Mentor department leaders and foster a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with local regs, international standards, and safety policies.
