Head Chef - Indian Cuisine (Mecca, Saudi Arabia)

A well‑established restaurant in Mecca, Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations and ensuring high‑quality and authentic Indian dishes are served to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities according to established recipes and standards.
  • Create new menu items and update existing menus to meet customer demands.
  • Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain food cost control.
  • Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Indian flavors, spices, cooking techniques, and presentation.
  • Proven track record of menu development and creating unique dishes that appeal to customers.
  • Experience managing kitchen staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
