Transguard Workforce Solutions is the UAE's leading provider of innovative HR solutions, with over a decade of regional experience. We are recruiting an Engineering Trainee for a Saudi client, based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The product‑focused trainee position performs established technical tasks at the subsystem or component level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate product problems, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate actions, and own problem resolution documenting results with guidance from senior team members.
- Work across the product life cycle covering Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI), or Current Product Support (CPS).
- Execute technical processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), IDFMEA, and Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG), using tools like 7‑step problem solving and design review checklists.
- Gather input from stakeholders—including technical managers, project leaders, product and manufacturing engineers, and supplier partners—to provide recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
- Apply academic knowledge and experience to take action and make decisions that progress projects forward without compromising quality expectations.
- Own problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services with higher technical complexity and ambiguity than entry‑level engineers, with greater accountability to the project team.
- Provide independent execution of established work processes and systems while continuing to develop technology or product knowledge.
- Engage in improvement of systems and processes, and coordinate the work of technicians or temporary student employees when required.
- Contribute effectively to team goals, exhibit influence in a work group, and continually develop proficiency in critical competency areas.
- Implement structured product problem‑solving that protects the customer, determines assignable cause, and implements data‑based solutions with root‑cause recommendations.
- Coordinate design verification and system validation plans to manage risk and prioritize potential failure modes, evaluate experimental results, and produce recommendations with technical documentation.
- Mitigate potential product failure modes by identifying interfaces, functions, requirements, interactions, control factors, noise factors, and prioritizing failure causes to improve product reliability.
