Job summary

Tarabut Gateway in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of five to eight engineers, overseeing delivery, technical growth, and team operations. You will remove blockers, run rituals, and provide honest feedback to ensure high-quality software ships.

Applicants should have 5+ years in software, 1–2 years in leadership, hands-on backend or full-stack experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with 1–2 years in leadership.
• Hands-on backend or full-stack development with code-review ability.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and enabling growth.
• Experience in agile delivery with sprint ceremonies and backlog management.
• Excellent English communication for updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery commitments of your team, ensuring work is well-planned, clearly communicated, and completed to a high standard.
• Run effective sprint ceremonies, including planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
• Identify and remove blockers early, escalating to Head of Engineering as needed.
• Maintain visibility into technical debt and address it in a structured way.
• Contribute to code reviews, architectural discussions, and incident response.
