Job summary

Movepick Waad al Shamal in Turayf, Saudi Arabia, seeks an Electronics Technician to maintain and repair hotel systems and equipment, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational reliability.

Responsibilities include installation, testing, and diagnostics of HVAC, lighting, security, and guest room electronics; documenting activities; and supporting operations during peak periods. English & Arabic language skills preferred.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electronics Technician in a luxury hospitality environment or 5-star hotel setting.
  • Strong practical knowledge of hotel electronic systems including HVAC controls, lighting systems, security equipment, and guest room technology.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic components and systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized hotel system diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency situations.
  • Strong team player with ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and prioritize guest satisfaction.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with discretion and professionalism in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and hotel maintenance management systems is preferred.

  • Use hand tools and precision instruments required for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure the visual and functional conformity of all installed and repaired systems.
  • Identify and report anomalies, malfunctions, or safety concerns observed during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe work environment that complies with hotel safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on hotel systems (HVAC controls, lighting systems, security equipment, guest room electronics) according to established procedures.
  • Use appropriate test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify system issues.
  • Document test results and maintenance activities in accordance with hotel records and compliance requirements.
  • Diagnose electronic problems using established procedures and troubleshooting tools.
  • Perform repairs and replacement of defective components in hotel systems and guest room equipment.
  • Test repaired systems to confirm proper functioning and guest safety.
  • Document all interventions and maintenance performed according to hotel standards.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or external specialists when required.
  • Apply all hotel procedures, maintenance protocols, and safety instructions in force.
  • Execute maintenance work according to operational priorities and guest service schedules.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize guest disruption.
  • Report recurring issues, system failures, or opportunities for equipment upgrades.

Job Description

As the Electronics Technician at Movepick Waad al Shamal, you contribute to the reliability, functionality, and guest satisfaction by performing first-level electronic maintenance, testing, and repair activities on hotel systems and equipment. The role directly supports hotel operations and the processing of routine maintenance requests, according to established work methods, and remains available to assist operations as needed, including emergency response during peak occupancy periods.

Hotel Systems Maintenance and Installation
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic components in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities according to specifications and procedures provided.
  • Properly use hand tools and precision instruments required for maintenance and repairs.
