Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Field Engineer - Electrical to supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems for a major development project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes while coordinating with Resident Engineer and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex electrical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical engineering and construction supervision,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
8+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering and construction supervision.
5+ years as Electrical Field Engineer, Site Engineer, or Electrical Inspector on major building projects.
Experience with large-scale buildings and mixed-use developments.
Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS and Saudi regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and contract requirements.
Monitor installation of power distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS and lighting systems.
Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship quality and compliance with standards.
Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements and technical documentation.
Verify that materials and equipment delivered on site conform to submittals and specs.
Coordinate electrical works with other disciplines for proper integration.
Witness testing, energization procedures and commissioning activities.
Prepare daily/weekly site reports and progress updates.
Assist in progress verification for payment certification.
