Job summary

Tangent International in Riyadh is urgently seeking a DPI Back Office Specialist for a 12-month extendable contract, starting ASAP. You will operate, maintain and troubleshoot dedicated DPI platforms, monitor KPIs and investigate performance issues in a live telecom environment.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with Procera, Sandvine, Huawei DPI, Wirefilter and strong TCP/IP knowledge, Linux admin, and multi-vendor troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Direct operational experience with a dedicated DPI platform is essential.
• Experience with DPI principles and application-detection methods.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge with Wireshark and tcpdump experience.
• Linux server administration and network-operations automation experience.
• Knowledge of mobile networks (2G–5G) and Packet Core.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot dedicated Deep Packet Inspection platforms
• Monitor DPI KPIs and investigate service or performance degradation
• Perform root-cause analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, flow logs and session traces
• Manage application classification, protocol identification and traffic-policy functions
• Coordinate vendor TAC cases, technical escalations and service-recovery activities
• Automate health checks, configuration management, log analysis and alerting
• Support emergency rule bypass, traffic rerouting and graceful platform failover
• Hands-on operational experience with dedicated DPI platforms such as Procera, Sandvine, Huawei DPI, Wirefilter or equivalent
• Strong understanding of DPI principles and application-detection methods
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge with practical Wireshark and tcpdump experience
• Linux server administration and network-operations automation experience
• Good understanding of mobile network architecture, including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and Packet Core
• Experience troubleshooting multivendor technology in a live telecom environment

PLEASE NOTE Direct operational experience with a dedicated DPI platform is essential. General Packet Core or GGSN experience alone will not meet the requirement.
