L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering invites applications for Design Lead Electrical DC to oversee the electrical design of Solar PV power plants. The role requires reviewing and executing engineering activities from pre-bid to commissioning, coordinating with inter-department teams, vendors, and site execution crews.

You will lead a team of design engineers and drafters to deliver drawings and layouts on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics.
• 10 years of design experience in Solar PV power plants.
• Experience with power distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute engineering drawings for solar PV projects.
• Coordinate with OEM, engineers, and civil contractors for installation.
• Deliver timely engineering documents aligned to project schedule.
• Provide support to site execution and warranty phases.
• Lead a team of designers and drafters to ensure quality and budget compliance.

Job description

As Design Lead Electrical - DC the person shall be capable of reviewing amp executing Engineering Activities like Generation Estimate Overall plant Layout DC SLD Solar Module selection Inverter Sizing SMB Earthing Layouts Cable Sizing Calculations of Solar PV Power Plants He shall facilitate the modellers in development of BIM 3D Model for PV Solar Power plants In addition she he has to coordinate with other departments including Inter-departmental checks covering Civil Structural Instrumentation MEP and others The Design Lead Electrical DC shall be required to provide support for the engineering activities covering the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to support during commissioning and warranty periods and to extend support to site team She He shall lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to manage the Engineering activities within budget deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering

Key Responsibilities

Review of documents prepared at Engineering office India and explaining the same to local contractor for site execution Co-Ordinating with OEM manufacture Engineer and Civil Contractor in installation and construction Co-Ordinating with Uzbekistan local consultant for design adaption works Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings amp Documents Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule Review drawings by Design Engineers amp Draughts Persons Checking of design amp sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from the client Review of Vendor deliverables pertaining to Engineering Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time Estimate and Plan man-hour requirements Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarifications Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks Provide support amp clarifications to the Site Execution team Check pre-award evaluation of vendors w r t technical specifications requirement of the client and forward the validation document to Supply Chain Management Inspect equipment from the finalized vendor after submission of validation document of the vendor Clarify issues w r t the design amp requirements of the client to the Site Execution Team Collect inputs for project details plot details feeder arrangements etc from client amp Project Engineering Manager Coordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtaining approval Collect inputs for project details General Arrangement Drawings from Vendors Check deliverables such as Cable Routing Layout Cable Tray Layout Earthing Layout amp Lightning Protection Layout Provide support to Electrical AC Civil Structural for reviewing Vendor drawings Submit requirement of man-hours for undertaking amp reviewing of design amp drawings of the project
