Job summary

PayLink in Al Khobar is seeking a Data Protection Officer to lead privacy programs, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and serve as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring collaboration with legal, IT, security, and business teams.

You will draft and maintain privacy policies, supervise data subject rights, conduct DPIAs, train staff, and embed privacy by design across PayLink’s digital payments platform.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Data Protection Officer role based in Al Khobar. The Data Protection Officer will oversee data privacy practices, ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, and act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities. Daily responsibilities include drafting and maintaining privacy policies and procedures, monitoring adherence to data protection requirements, conducting risk assessments, and advising internal teams on privacy implications of new products and processes. The role involves handling data subject requests, leading privacy impact assessments, organizing staff training on data protection, and collaborating with legal, IT, security, and business stakeholders to embed privacy by design across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Data Privacy and Privacy Compliance, with a track record of implementing and managing privacy programs.
• Solid understanding of Regulatory Compliance and Law, particularly in financial services, payments, and data protection frameworks.
• Ability to develop, review, and maintain clear and robust Privacy Policies and related internal guidelines.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and data breach management in a regulated environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise senior leadership and operational teams.
• Relevant academic background in Law, Information Security, Compliance, or a related field; professional certifications in privacy or compliance (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) are an advantage.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly beneficial for working with local regulations and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment and maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
