Job summary

Tabby, a GCC fintech, seeks a DataOps Intern to help manage production infrastructure for ML and data workloads. You will work on compute, orchestration, deployment, observability and cost control across cloud environments, with senior review from day one.

Ideal candidates are strong in Linux, cloud familiarity (GCP preferred), and have hands-on AI tooling experience. This internship emphasizes real responsibility and professional growth in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Solid Linux fundamentals: filesystem, processes, permissions, networking basics, shell comfort.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider; GCP is preferred, but AWS/Azure evidence counts.
• Understanding of networking: DNS, TCP/IP basics, load balancing, requests-to-service flow.
• Working knowledge of containers and enough Kubernetes to deploy and debug a workload.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability concepts: metrics, logs, alerts; actionable alerts.
• Python or Bash for automation of tasks.
• Experience with Git and standard development workflows.
• Real, current use of AI tools in engineering work and knowledge of models for tasks.
• Open to constructive feedback and strong attention to correctness.
• English sufficient for documentation and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Work with cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP) and bare-metal fleet hosting data, ML and AI workloads.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for services and models.
• Run and troubleshoot containerised workloads on Kubernetes.
• Set up and improve monitoring, alerting and logging; act on insights.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks with Python or Bash.
• Support model training and inference environments, resources, deployment, cost.
• Investigate incidents in infrastructure and pipelines; determine root causes.
• Improve platform reliability and cost efficiency.
• Work within SAMA regulatory requirements for Saudi fintech data access.
