Job summary

Emdad By Elm in Riyadh is seeking a Network Technician to support daily network operations, troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, and maintain data center networks. The role emphasizes hands-on installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of network gear.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, document changes, and participate in planned maintenance, ensuring safety procedures and adherence to change control in fast-paced data center environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in network engineering, IT, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in network operations or data centers.
• Hands-on with network gear, cabling, patching, and rack installation.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
• Basic troubleshooting using Ping and Traceroute.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• CCNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support LAN/WAN connectivity and resolve issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, VLANs, and network devices.
• Install, replace, and rack network equipment in data centers.
• Perform patching, cabling, labeling, and cable management.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, vendors, and other IT teams for changes.
• Monitor network alerts and resolve issues within SLAs.
• Maintain network documentation, equipment records, and change information.
• Follow data center safety, access, security, and change management procedures.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities when required.
