Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Riyadh is seeking a Cook / Commis Chef with a passion for presentation and flavour to join our pastry team. You will prepare and present a wide range of baked and sweet pastries, gateaux, petits fours, and desserts while maintaining the highest hygiene standards.

The role requires 2 years of pastry experience, flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts, and fluency in the local language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present baked pastries, pan, and desserts as specified in menus
• Maintain hygienic standards and practices in the kitchen
• Maintain a hygienic kitchen, clean equipment and manage personal hygiene
• Assist in staff induction and training under supervision
• Contribute to planning for future staffing needs and budgeting
• Assist in recruiting in line with company guidelines
• Prepare and decorate gateaux, tortes, petits fours and festive cakes
