Bechtel in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Cost Engineer for the Ar Rjum project to forecast costs, monitor trends, and enforce cost control across the multi-site mining operation.

You will prepare budgets, track variances, and support management with robust reports, ensuring alignment with the project estimate and budget. Relocation/ Camp-supported positions available for international assignments.

Formación

• Proficiency in PC operating systems and multi discipline specific software applications (EcoSys, PowerBI, Microsoft applications).
• Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and solving problems.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain cost budgets and accurate cost & cashflow forecasts, utilizing the change management system. Performs ongoing cost & cash flow analysis.
• Monitor progress of contractors, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure approved trends and changes are incorporated into the overall project estimate at completion (EAC) and budget for cost and quantities.
• Prepare routine performance reports and special studies related to assigned scope for presentation to project, corporate, and/or customer management team(s).
• Maintains open communications with other organizations to support cost engineering analysis and control activities

Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.

The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.

Job Summary

As a Senior Cost Engineer for the Ar Rjum project you will prepare cost forecasts, review cost trends, and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.

Major Responsibilities

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields (or international equivalent) and 8 - 12 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 12 - 15 years of relevant work experience.
