Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is launching a new Energy office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, seeking a senior Business Development professional. You will join the MENA BD team in Dammam, building relationships with government entities, national companies, and private partners to advance bids aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

This role involves global collaboration, market research, and strategy development. You will report to the VP of BD and Strategy for MENA, travel within the Kingdom and GCC as required,

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with government entities, national companies and key customers.
• Experience coordinating industry events, conferences, and customer engagements in the Kingdom.
• Ability to interface with BD and proposal teams at multiple levels and geographies.
• Ability to develop client plans and present them in meetings with stakeholders.
• Experience tracking customers and projects in Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM tools.
• Experience preparing and routing project approval documentation.
• Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market, procurement practices, and key customers.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the Kingdom and GCC.

• Researches customers, competitors, and market pipelines; shares findings with teams.

Job Summary

In this position, you will play a key role on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Business Development team, based in Bechtel's Dammam office and supporting growth across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will report directly to the Vice President, Business Development and Strategy for the MENA region. You will build and maintain personal relationships with key contacts in Saudi government entities, national companies, and private‑sector customer organizations, as well as strategic vendors and in‑Kingdom partners. You will develop bid and proposal strategies and demonstrate how Bechtel can help customers achieve their objectives, including those aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. Your work will expand market reach and drive growth and success for Bechtel in the Kingdom.

Major Responsibilities

• Prepares and monitors various market profiles, customer profiles, and business development activity reports as required.
• Performs research on customers, competitors, and market project pipeline, and presents findings to business development colleagues and business line general management.
• Maintains activity data in the customer relationship management system, including call notes, prospect records, and win plans.
• Builds personal relationships with contacts in customer organizations, strategic vendors, and local partners.
• Develops marketing information for use by the business development team.
• Participates in the management of the proposal development effort, including producing and assembling content
• Supports the integration of local content requirements into pursuit and bid strategies.
• Stays abreast industry trends and relationships that can impact Bechtel’s business development performance.

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. Experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region is required.

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Support BD management with research on projects, customers, and technologies.
• Manage and coordinate industry events, conferences, and customer engagements in the Kingdom.
• Interface with the broader BD and proposal teams, including global business line and MENA regional colleagues.
• Build and present client plans and attend client meetings.
• Build and maintain customer and project tracking in Microsoft Dynamics.
• Prepare and route project approval documentation.
• Knowledge of the KSA market, including key government, national company, and private‑sector customers and their procurement practices.
• Proficiency in English required; Arabic language proficiency preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the Kingdom and the wider GCC region as required.
