Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager, Collateral Reconcilliation M/F to oversee the accuracy of collateral records and ensure timely reconciliations across internal systems and external partners. The role acts as a hub between operations, risk and finance, driving data quality and robust controls.

You will manage daily workload, mentor juniors, and contribute to process improvements, reporting to a Manager and supporting a 24/5 operating model in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial operations, collateral management, middle office, or reconciliation.
• Strong Excel and Office skills, with familiarity in Excel and Access.
• Solid understanding of reconciliation principles, accounting flows and data integrity controls.
• Excellent communication and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily reconciliations of collateral balances, margin calls and positions between records and counterparties.
• Review breaks (cash and securities) and ensure timely resolution with proper documentation.
• Monitor aging and escalate persistent or high-risk discrepancies to management.
• Manage queries and timely escalation to the Manager; organize daily workload within the team.
• Provide guidance to junior members and promote a strong control culture.
• Participate in system/process improvements and UAT for new reconciliation tools.
